I wanted to take a moment to talk with our clients and our community as I have with our seoClarity team. Recent events in our nation have given us pause and are weighing on our hearts and our minds.

Many of us have felt a range of emotions—sadness, anger, disbelief and even frustration. The events of the last few days have brought to the surface issues in our society that have been bubbling for decades.

With that said, staying quiet is not an option. I know I'm not going to be able to say everything that needs to be said. I know I'm probably not going to cover everything that anyone reading this may want to be covered.

Yet, what I do know is this: racism, hatred, and bias have absolutely no place anywhere in our society. I also know that as a company, this is a time for us to come together and reflect and stand united against such continued injustice.

As an organization, we are committed to building a workplace where everyone—irrespective of race, gender, orientation, or religion—feels safe, is treated equally, and can do what they love doing. We have zero tolerance for racism, discrimination, hate and violence.

We also stand in solidarity in the fight against injustice, racism and inequality. In line with this, we are donating to the Equal Justice Initiative to support their efforts at legal reform to address the disproportionate impact on the Black community and other vulnerable communities. I urge my colleagues and our clients to consider similar action—hate has no home in SEO.

A lot of us are hurting right now—it’s important to remain open and empathetic in our conversations with each other and take the time to listen and learn to take a stance against hate and discrimination.

May we all take the time to truly reflect on this moment and do the work necessary to grow and learn.
